Here in the Ancient Agora of Athens lies the Temple of Hephaestus, dedicated to perhaps one of the most relatable gods of the Greek Pantheon. Cast out of Olympus by his mother, spurned by his adulterous wife and bestowed with unflattering epithets such as Hephaestus Kullopodiou (clubfooted) and Hephaestus Amphiguéeis (both feet crooked), the god Hephaestus appears to suffer many of the trials and tribulations that us mere mortals also endure. In this video we will explore how Hephaestus overcame the odds.
