Apples and Oranges. Oranges are not the same as apples. Yet in this story, even though they are different from each other, we still are asked by Jesus to take care of each other. Thanks for being a part of our online church! This is our children’s sermon at Pine Island United Methodist Church for Sunday, July 13, 2025. This morning we hear the familiar story of the Good Samaritan. We consider why this Samaritan, considered a foreigner, would help a man who was not part of his ethnic community. And we are challenged to consider what keeps us from helping others who need our love and acceptance. “For All of God’s Children” means that children’s sermons are not just for the young… they are for the young at heart and for ALL of God’s children!
