Steve Landes and John Edwards Speak to VEBA - March 10, 2013

Two members of the Virginia General Assembly, Delegate Steve Landes (R-Weyers Cave) and state Senator John Edwards (D-Roanoke), speak to members of the Virginia Electoral Board Association (VEBA) at the organization's annual meeting in Hot Springs on Sunday, March 10, 2013. Landes and Edwards gave tips about effective lobbying applicable not just to election law issues of interest to VEBA, but to issues of interest to any citizen or group. Edwards points out that "No bill becomes a law just because it's a good idea." The two legislators are introduced by Robin Lind, VEBA communications director and a member of the Goochland County Electoral Board. At the end of the session, outgoing VEBA president Renee Andrews of the City of Falls Church thanks the speakers and adjourns the meeting. Recorded at the Homestead Resort in Bath County, Virginia.
