Triple C Recordings proudly presents the official music video for "Midnight Blue", an evocative track composed by Mansoor Jaffer. First released in late 2021 as an audio recording, "Midnight Blue" originally gained attention as part of the soundtrack for the award-winning short film Address Unknown, which tells the moving story of the last postman of District Six. Set against the backdrop of apartheid South Africa in 1976, the film follows the postman as he journeys through the deserted streets of his former community, eventually traveling to Bonteheuwel to reconnect with his childhood friend, only to find him caught in the struggle for freedom. In October 2024, Jaffer, playing guitar, was joined in the studio by an incredible ensemble of musicians: Charles Louw (keys), Godfrey Dyantyi (bass), Razak Johnson (guitar), Bradley Lodewyk (drums), and Mulalo Mphaphuli (flute). This talented group brings new life and depth to the song, creating a rich musical experience. As the fifth production from Triple C Recordings—a key project of the Cape Cultural Collective—this music video marks another milestone in a series of planned releases. Enjoy the soulful sounds of "Midnight Blue," brought to life in this powerful visual and musical collaboration. #TripleCRecordings, #MidnightBlue, #CapeCulturalCollective, #SouthAfricanMusic, #MansoorJaffer, #DistrictSix, #AddressUnknown, #ApartheidEra, #SoulfulMusic, #CapeTownMusic Tags: Triple C Recordings, Cape Cultural Collective, Midnight Blue, Mansoor Jaffer, South African music, Address Unknown film, District Six, Cape Town music, apartheid history, Charles Louw, Godfrey Dyantyi, Razak Johnson, Bradley Lodewyk, Mulalo Mphaphuli, music video 2024, South African jazz, music production Cape Town, Cape Town musicians, Bonteheuwel, soulful music, South African culture, activist music, short film soundtrack, jazz ensemble, new music release, Cape Town creatives, music in apartheid era, cultural storytelling, African composers, South African jazz music, African flute music, jazz and activism, community arts projects
