THE HORROR OF THE JOTUNN

The Horror of the Jotunn. An entity analysis of the epic and monolithic dark god the Jotunn-from the epic 2017 genre masterpiece The Ritual. A history of the Nordic mythology and the strange sexual and asexual reproduction methods that most likely produced the Jotunn, as well as the entity specific history and motivations that drive the ancient god. An analysis into the creatures abilities, constitutional fortitude and visual representation will also be discussed. For completionist nerds and the like-I did not include HP Lovecraft's epic dark god Shub-Niggurath-although the internet seems to believe there is a direct relation to Shub Niggurath and the Jotunn, I don't see it. The legend of Loki becoming a mare and mothering the eight limbed Sleipner with a stallion is more than enough evidence to conclude the true inspirations of the ancient Jotunn derive from Nordic, not Lovecraftian lore.
