Did you know that if your country has a Space Exploration involvement and invests in Research and Development whilst reinforcing education it will solve a lot of relevant problems pressing your society? STEM and Space Exploration are incredibly relevant and contribute to our daily lives in more ways than we're actually aware of. Martina's aspiration to decentralize Space Exploration in Developing Regions and countries lacking Space Presence like her homeland N. Macedonia got her to research and develop key elements that will involve the citizens and press relevant institutions to catch up with the rest of the space-bearing nations. Martina Dimoska is the first female Balkan Analog Astronaut. She is the Local Lead of the NASA Space Apps Challenge Cleveland at NASA Glenn Research Center and the NASA Space Apps Challenge Mountain View at NASA Ames Research Center, annually. Next to that, she is also a published research scholar and is actively creating novel opportunities within her industry. Recently, she became the Senior NASTAR Space Ambassador, successfully completing the Suborbital Spaceflight Training, and earning her NASTAR wings as the first Macedonian woman. The NASTAR Center is the only US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved center for commercial space flight training for Astronauts from SpaceX, Axiom Space, Virgin Galactic and more. Martina Dimoska will talk about the requirements needed for developing third-world countries to adopt so they can attach themselves successfully to the Space Sector, based on the research she did, led by Dr. Aldrin during her studies at Florida Tech. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
