Turning a Maple Burl and Camatillo Stave Bowl with Gold Leaf

This is the third video is a series showing the planning and construction of wooden bowls using one of several techniques, including stave bowls, bowls from a board, segmented bowls, and dizzy bowls. This one features the use of the rosewood camatillo, also known as Mexican kingwood, and maple burl to create a beautiful bowl. It also introduces the use of gold leaf to enhance the appearance of the bowl and demonstrates the techniques of gilding.
