This is the fourth video is a series showing the planning and construction of wooden bowls using one of several techniques, including stave bowls, bowls from a board, segmented bowls, and dizzy bowls. This one features the use of a small amboyna burl block to show that by using the stave bowl technique and the equation presented in my first video, one can construct a beautiful little bowl. I also introduce a new sled for the table saw to cut and construct tilted-segment decorative rings. Finally, I continue my search for the ultimate wood finish. Is Epifanes the goods?
