My experiences and thoughts about training and other stuff. Instagram: / pana6x Purpose: to show beginners that carryover decreases as the exercise becomes harder. However the beginner doesn’t know this because in his novice gains phase the carryover from push-ups to dips for example is very noticeable, so as time passes it is reasonable to believe that the same amount of carryover will be seen in the future, however this is not the case if you are actually going for a really hard exercise. The harder the exercise = the less carryover. The harder the exercise = the more exceptional you need to be in your general strength to see carryover. The same carryover can be seen in muscle building as the compound exercises that used to create noticeable differences in your small muscles no longer create that same stimulus. Would the juice be worth the squeeze? The dream of getting everything at once is nice, but it is a beginner's dream, the harder your goals the more you will need to train specifically for them, and the more attention you will need to spend on them. The harder your goal the less carryover you will see from other exercises that do not use the specific range of motion.
