It’s incredibly easy to make and all about that perfect crunch. We stir-fry fresh peppers and meaty mushrooms on high heat to keep them crisp and vibrant. By removing the jalapeño seeds, you get a lovely, mild aroma without the heat. Wrap it all up in a warm, fluffy flower bun—it’s the ultimate comfort food. All my love, Mom❤️ 📝INGREDIENTS (2 servings) Beef Eye Round(sandwich cut): 0.5 lb Large Green Bell Pepper:1 Red Bell Pepper: 1/4 Portobello Mushroom: 1 Large pc Jalapeño: 1 pc Onion: ¼pc Flower Buns: 1 pack [Meat Marinade] Potato Starch: (1 Tbsp) Beaten Egg: (2-3 Tbsp) Cooking Oil: (½Tbsp) [Sauce Mix] Soy Sauce: (1 Tbsp) Oyster Sauce: (1 Tbsp) Mirin / Cooking Rice Wine: (1 Tbsp) Minced Ginger: (1/4 tsp) [For Sautéing & Finishing] Chili Oil: (2 Tbsp) Black Pepper: (to taste) 🧑🍳 STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS 1. Prep Beef: Thinly slice beef eye round against the grain and pat dry. 2. Marinate: Mix beef with starch (2tsp), beaten egg (2-3 Tbsp), and oil (2Tbsp). 3. Prep Veggies: Slice bell peppers, onion, and jalapeño (seeds removed) into thin strips. 4. Prep Mushroom: Scoop out the dark gills of the Portobello and slice thinly. 5. Make Sauce: Combine soy sauce (1 Tbsp), oyster sauce (1 Tbsp), mirin (1 Tbsp), and minced ginger (1/4 tsp). 6. Steam Buns: Steam the Flower Buns for 5-7 minutes until fluffy. 7. Sear Beef: Sauté beef in a pan until 80% cooked, then set aside. 8. Stir-fry: Heat chili oil (2Tbsp). Sauté onion and jalapeño, then add peppers and mushrooms over high heat. 9. Combine: Return the beef to the pan and pour in the sauce. 10. Finish: Add a generous amount of pepper. 11.
