Brake pedal slowly sinks to the floor but there are no leaks in the system. I hate changing a part when it still functions, but brakes are nothing to neglect. A lot of the time, a leaky wheel cylinder or caliper is at fault but this time, all of that was good. What then? You guessed it, the master cylinder. Evidently it is possible that the master cylinder will leak internally and cause the system to bleed back into the reservoir and cause the pedal to sink. I would sit at a traffic light and all of a sudden, the truck would start to roll. At first, I thought I was just relaxing my foot but when the red brake light came on in the dash, I knew I had bigger problems. Never fear, a call to my local parts dealer, an hour out of my day, and Walaa, I once again have a safe and sound braking system. With no bleeding after installation, I might add. I am lazy and time is not my friend so if I can eliminate or minimize bleeding brakes, I am all about that. Keep in mind, I am not a professional mechanic. I'm just a regular guy building hot rods and fixing cars in my back yard. Albeit, I have been doing it for over 40-years. With that being said, if you professional guys/gals think my ways are a little unorthodox, you are probably right but they work. email [email protected]
