This is a demo for a brand-new PC (Windows and Linux) re-imagining for Sonic The Hedgehog 2, made with the Godot Engine using Sonic Worlds Next! Features: Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles are playable will all of their special abilities! Dropdash, flying, climbing, and gliding! Option to toggle between the old 4x3 aspect ratio, or 16x9 for a more modern experience. 5 playable zones in this demo alone, with 2 acts each, resulting in a pretty hefty 10 levels, and even a boss at the end! Completely retouched sprites and art throughout to truly make the game feel even more alive, while still feeling faithful to the original! A rerecorded soundtrack, faithful to the original game but with higher-fidelity percussion and some new (and old) flair! Restoration and re-imagining of some previously scrapped content from the original game! The Elemental Shields from Sonic 3 make a return! Get a regular blue shield, and when you break a second monitor, you can get any Elemental Shield! Four hidden Character cameos, three classic characters from Sonic, and another one just for fun.
