Mercedes-Benz S-Class W221 Xenon HID headlight repair and upgrade kit DIY installation

In this video, we repair and upgrade the Mercedes-Benz W221 headlights with some new Aharon HID bi-xenon projectors (3" E46-R). The upgrade is usually quite big because of the burned original projectors. So when you have a bad light output from your W221 headlights, this kit is a good upgrade for the lighting, guaranteed! Output shot @11:39 The hot spot (brightest part in the middle of the pattern) is visibly brighter than the original one. The headlight needs to be opened to replace the projectors with the OEM and DEPO version headlights this is not too hard because of the sealant that is used (in this video DEPO ones are used). For the high beam, some wires need to be re-arranged. Which wires to use, can vary between make/model. A good option to be certain is to check which wire gets 12v + signal when high beam is activated (we could not do this because we did not have the car, only the headlights). In fact they don’t realize that their headlight beams are often worse than before. Night vision achieves relatively little improvement on night vision because of a poor beam pattern, which increases the blinding of other road users. This is because their headlight housings are designed for halogen and not xenon. A true Bi-Xenon projector update is now possible for your car. Such an upgrade will significantly improve your light output from 700-2100 lumens to 2800 and 3500 lumens, without blinding other traffic with glare from your headlight.
