Next, we now come into the world of Leiria -Stargazer-, where Leiria goes to save the planet Earth from Lobelia and her forces (Or so that's what it seems, initially)! Leiria Stargazer is a fun little Doujin Game shmup by a group called NonLinear that was quite inspired by Cave's arcade shmups, particularly ESPgaluda. Alright, so some things about the game! To start off, I played on Hard Mode, and to unlock Hard Mode, you have to 1cc Normal Mode first, and I think you also have to fight the TLB in Normal Mode (You get to fight the TLB by destroying 2 parts of the stage 5 midboss before destroying the midboss itself) as well to do that (That's what I did, when I first started work on this game, anyway). Also, on Hard Mode, when you kill enemies, they shoot suicide bullets, so that's another thing about Hard Mode in this game. Leiria -Stargazer-'s central game mechanic is that the Accel System is more-or-less like ESPgaluda. To use Accel Mode to it's full potential, you use it, when your enemies shoot bullets all over the place, to where there's bullets all over the screen. When you use Accel Mode at this sample scenario I roughly described, you kill the enemies that shot those said bullets, and by doing that, not only do you kill them, but you cancel out the bullets the said enemies in-question shot out, and you get this nice little multiplier than can potentially go up to 500x (For Hard Mode only. For Easy and Normal, the max multiplier is 100x). This multiplier gets reset every time you exit Accel Mode. You can have up to 2000 Accel gems at once, and to collect Accel gems, you have to kill enemies using your shot in your normal state (Otherwise, meaning when not in Accel Mode). Right, if you run out of gems in Accel Mode, the speed of the bullets the enemies fire at you gets doubled, not to mention you won't cancel any bullets out, even if you kill the said enemies that shot them, if your gem count is 0, so be wary of that. Also, yeah, anytime while in Accel Mode, you do have an autobomb, should you get hit by a bullet/run into an enemy, but should that happen, the autobomb mechanic in Accel Mode eats up 2000 of your entire bomb gauge, so it can be rather costly to autobomb, so you'd want to try avoiding that kind of thing, whenever possible. One more thing about Accel Mode - There are seven levels you can get it up to, and the higher it is, the better everything about Accel Mode gets (Really important for scoring in this game!), so get that one up as soon as possible, like for what I did at Stage 1. Also, you do have bombs in this game, of course! Your bomb meter can have a max of up to 4000. If you just plain use the bomb button, it uses up 1000 out your bomb meter, but you can also hold down the bomb button to make your bomb have more power, but that does also consume more of your bomb meter, the longer you hold down the bomb button, so be wary of that. You get quite a bit of extends in this game, so the better you know how to score in this game, you get more extends you get in the process. From what is known (For Hard Mode only), you get an extra life at 7M (M meaning "Million", in this case), 20M, 50M, 80M, 140M, 200M, 500M, 1B (B meaning "Billion", in this case), and 2B. There is one hidden extend you can get, and that's at Stage 5. The Stage 5 midboss drops one, and to get that, you have to destroy the 2 side pods on it first before destroying the midboss itself. I believe you also have to do that to be able to fight the TLB (Lobelia) in Hard Mode, as well. To fight the TLB (Lobelia), you have to 1cc the game right up through the stage 6 boss, and I think you also have to destroy the stage 5 midboss in the way I described just earlier. Also, yeah, this is my 1st Hard Mode + TLB 1cc of Leiria -Stargazer-, as of very early in the morning of today! I got increasingly nervous a bit towards the end (I only started to do full runs today, been spending most of my time in practice mode), which begins to be more and more evident, starting at the stage 4 boss Lobelia. I didn't expect to 1cc + TLB so quickly after I began to do full runs, so it was a nice surprise! Man, I got to say, that secret ending sure was something! Apparently (assuming I read that right through my rusty Japanese reading ability), from reading that ending, basically, the whole game was just Leiria's dream, and the characters she fought are the people she knows, Lobelia in-particular. Yeah, seriously! It's quite the ending! I got sucked into it, needless to say, that I didn't recognise 40-something minutes had passed, when I got through the ending, it was that good, and that's why this video is an hour and a half long, lol. You get to see the secret ending, should you 1cc Hard Mode, and I suspect you also have to beat the TLB while doing so, as well. If you did all that, you'll see the secret ending, right after the name entry thing, so don't exit the game after the name entry. You'll like the ending!
