We packed up our life—two kids, a dog, a 24-foot trailer loaded with hay and two snowmobiles—and hit the road for a 1,423 km journey into the wild. This is our very first trip to our off-grid property in the Yukon, where we’re trading city noise for crisp mountain air, tight schedules for quiet mornings, and a busy life for meaningful time with family. Our destination? A humble 16x20 cabin with no plumbing, no luxuries, and no turning back. Watch as we brave winter roads, sleep in an uninsulated horse trailer on the side of the Alaska Highway, and try to stay warm using only a generator, an electric heater, and pure determination. Along the way, we cook pre-made meals in an air fryer, laugh through the cold, and find joy in the simple moments that come with chasing a dream. This is just the beginning of our journey to build a new life—off-grid, hands-on, and heart-first. Subscribe and follow along as we show what it really takes to leave comfort behind and build a future from the ground up. 00:00- Intro 01:14- First stop 01:27- Brendon's boredom song 02:49- Fort Nelson 03:31- Fuelling up generator 03:55- Setting up horse trailer to camp in 04:36- Waking up at Summit Lake, BC 06:03- Stunning views 06:42- Toad River 06:47- Muncho Lake 07:44- Bison 08:06- Liard River Hot Springs 11:00- Truck Dance Party 11:31- Made it to Off Grid Cabin 12:01- Sneak peak of Cabin at midnight #familyadventures #OffGridLiving #YukonJourney #HomesteadLife #CabinLiving #WinterCamping #SimpleLife #AlaskaHighway #MovingNorth #LifeUnplugged
