Two paths diverge in the woods - we again walk with more confidence into comparing two regions and their internal relationships between violent incidents and expected life. Each gives up their own version of simulated correlations whose overlaid cumulative probabilities bely their secrets. We calculate their overlapping 89% credibility intervals and their range of diverging cumulative probabilities in a spreadsheet that definitely needs some tidying! High divergence and low interlap indicate independent behaviors. Low divergence and high interlap the opposite as ione region seemingly shares information with another. A base case of convergence helps us compare various scenarios. All in a spreadsheet with the R PERT-Beta simulator embedded in a simple cellular formula. A dense expert learning may be occurring. A bonus emerges as we seem to need to use INDEX(MATCH()) to locate the mode of divergence. The Frechet-experiment lives on. Why not a linear regression next? Time to talk about Hypothesis Testing with a Bayesian hierarchical model versus the standard Null Hypothesis Testing framework. Enjoy!
