Climbing Pembrokeshire's Mini Mountain

The first in a series of Welsh walks I'll be showing you. They'll come every so often so the best way to catch the next one is to hit the subscribe button then tap the bell so you'll be notified when the next one drops. This route starts in Y Parrog in Newport, north Pembrokeshire. It then heads uphill through the town and skirts around the edge of Carningli Mountain (it's actually a hill), taking you up onto the moorland where, on a good day, you'll be able to see right across Cardigan Bay to Snowdonia and the Llyn Peninsula. The summit is bouldery and you might need to use your hands to get to the top, but it's nothing technical and most people will manage it easily. Expect to see wild Preseli ponies, some of the most interesting geology in the UK and views over the coast, patchwork fields and wild hill country. Some great pubs to finish with in Newport.
