It was the day before Thanksgiving 2021, and my son had the day off from school. Rather than have him sit around at home all day watching us work, I decided to take the day off and do something fun with him instead. The original plan was to head out to Jefferson County Airport for lunch and some of their famous pie, but the weather near the strait wasn't cooperating. Given that, we took the short hop over to Harvey Field (S43) in Snohomish, Washington. The food is great, the company is better, and we were able to get Derek back in the helicopter for the first time in weeks. Good stuff all around! This video is a full-length, uncut view of the roughly 30 minute flight from Boeing Field to Harvey Field. It's mostly father/son bonding over the shared love of aviation, but there are some CFI-type lessons scattered around as well. As always, we hope you enjoy the ride! #helicopter #r44 #fatpnw
