Next, our RV climbs into the dramatic alpine landscapes of Hatcher Pass, where we explore the historic gold mining town at Independence Mine State Historical Park. We then continue to Alaska’s largest city, Anchorage, with a population of about 290,000 residents, nestled between Cook Inlet and the towering Chugach Mountains.
