Northern Ireland's Poisoned Lake | Lough Neagh

There is an environmental crisis happening to Lough Neagh, which has been ongoing for 50 years. The water has been affected by blue-green algae which is actually a type of harmful bacteria which is highly toxic to humans and fatal to many animals, and has already killed many pet dogs, birds and wildlife. There are several factors which have contributed to this disaster, including irresponsible agriculture practices, climate change, politics, lack of funding, invasive species, to name a few. It's time to stop placing blame, and time to start addressing this issue.
