This video case study features a facade retention demolition project which took place on Cross Halls Street, Liverpool city centre. The project was both interesting and challenging working within tight timescales and with limited access to the building. The objective was to remove the internal structure of the building leaving the facade in place for a new build. Due to the limited access and building location this project relied heavily on hand power with the slate roofs, timber flooring and ceilings, concrete and brickwork being broken down into manageable chunks - Removed by hand via conveyors into skips for further recycling. With regular communication with the client and careful project management of sub contractors, the project was a great success achieving a 98% recycle rate with no accidents or incidents.
