HD Dash cam video of Detroit’s iconic 8 Mile road from I-275 on the west side until it ends in Grosse Pointe Shores. Start: 275 N exiting onto 8 mile road in Livonia. We’ll drive east on 8 Mile through Livonia, Farmington, and Redford until we pass Telegraph Rd (11:48) and get into Detroit. Detroit is a big city geographically. The 8 Mile Rd section of the city of Detroit's northern border is 17.2 miles long! As we’re on the south side of 8 Mile, we will be in Detroit until we cross Kelly into Harper Woods. (38:34) Just after Kelly, across from the Eastland Mall, the main roadway that was 8 Mile veers right and becomes Vernier. We are going to stay to the left, wait at the light, and stay on 8 Mile as it transitions from commercial to residential.
