#indonesia #torajaculture #sulawesi #kolkata #asia #bengalivlog #bengalitravelvlog #missbongrover ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Date of recording: 14th July 2025 Guide: Peso Accommodation: Toraja Sanggalangi Homestay Whatsapp: +6281376533628 I spent the day exploring the Toraja culture in Tana Toraja, South Sulawesi (Indonesia) – one of the most unique traditions I have ever experienced! 🌏✨ I stayed in Rantepao at a lovely homestay, and the owner took me (and some other guests) on a cultural tour. The day started with attending a Toraja funeral ceremony – a huge community event filled with rituals and traditions. While it was fascinating, I also struggled watching the animal sacrifices (pigs and buffaloes), which are an important part of their customs. Later, we were invited for lunch by a Torajan family before moving on to see something truly extraordinary – the Toraja tradition of keeping the dead body at home for up to 2 years. Families treat the deceased as “still sick” until the official funeral takes place. It was chilling but also eye-opening. We also visited: 🏡 Traditional Toraja houses (Tongkonan) 🪨 Stone graves where bodies are buried in carved rocks 👶 Baby graves placed in tree trunks 🕳️ Cave graves where coffins and wooden effigies (Tau Tau) are kept This day was emotional, intense, and unforgettable – the Toraja culture is truly unlike anything else in the world. #laketoba #Medan #Sumatra #IndonesiaTravel #TravelVlog #StreetFoodIndonesia #TravelIndonesia #VisitIndonesia #ExploreSumatra #NorthSumatra #MedanTravel #IndonesiaVlog If you enjoyed this video, please like, subscribe, and share — and let me know in the comments which spot you liked the most! 🌍✨ #indonesia #torajaculture #indonesiatravel #bengali #bengalivlog #solotravelfemale #bengalitravelvlog #missbongrover Whether you're planning your own adventure or simply dreaming of far-off destinations, join me as we uncover the hidden gems of Albania in this travel experience.
