Based on the book "Hidden History Beneath Folsom Lake", author Kevin Knauss, reviews the numerous photographs he took of historic and pre-historic sites and structures exposed when Folsom Lake receded to record low levels during the drought years of 2012 - 2015. Part I follows the North Fork of the American River from Beals Point up to the Birdsall Dam of the North Fork Ditch in Auburn, California. Knauss also includes old maps of the area to give context to the sites and structures normally covered by Folsom Lake. Part II covers the peninsula, Negro Hill Ditch, Mormon Island, and the Natoma Ditch and Dam above Salmon Falls.
