Evendim is an area in the northern parts of Eriador, with the majority of the area being covered by a vast lake of the same name. It was here the Kingdom of Arnor was founded by Elendil, but by the time of the Third Age the area was in a state of disrepair and its City of Kings, Annúminas, lay in ruins. This area was even more scarecely inhabited than its neighbour, the North Downs, serving as home to only Rangers of the North, and a few Hobbits in the southernmost parts of the area.
