The 2020 Jeep Gladiator has proven to be an excellent build platform for those looking to adventure off-road and maintain a useable midsized truck for everyday life. With Jeep’s most capable Rubicon version coming from the factory with highline fenders, it stands out as the go-to model for those wanting to run a much larger than stock tire with a minimal amount of lift. While we have thoroughly tested running 35s and no lift on the Gladiator Rubicon, we wanted to see if it was possible to get away with an even larger 37-inch-tall tire. For this test, we would use a 37x12.50R17 Nitto Trail Grappler and pair it with a 17-inch AEV Borah DualSport wheel. Both of these were picked for specific reasons. While the Trail Grappler has become our favorite mud-terrain radial on the market, the fact that it’s a very true-to-size 37 would ensure that our test would be fairly accurate. While you can watch our full video breakdown of our AEV wheels on our channel, the important takeaway for this purpose was the fact that the wheels had an ideal +25mm offset. So, how did it work? You’ll need to watch all the way through to find out! 00:00 Intro 00:36 Tires & Wheels 02:33 RTI Ramp 04:31 Driving Impressions 05:47 Spare Tire 06:44 Off-Road 07:16 Does It Work 07:31 What's Next AEV Beadlock Video: • How to Mount a Tire on Beadlock Wheel at H...
