First, we review the definition of a project and repeat the three important factors that define a project: Unique, Time-Bound and Product/Service or Result But projects and processes have elements in common. Projects are unique while processes are repeating. Projects are limited in time while processes keep ongoing. When a process stops depends on the type of project we are considering. In the case of a Waterfall project, the project ends when all the work or scope has been completed, while in the case of an Agile project the project finishes when the client is "Happy" or when the goal is reached. Processes tend to end when they are not economically relevant anymore, like when the production of old smartphones is stopped when newer versions are launched.
