Tour Our "New" Old Vintage Home! North Shore-Chicago.

My friends, one of my dreams has come true. My family was able to find "a needle in the haystack" in Chicago's North Shore. After nearly three years of searching, we've found an old vintage farm house including a barn, acreage, and zoned for animals, which we can turn into our own. When I say there were NOT many houses in the North Shore that met all that criteria within our budget, I really mean I gave up. I let go and let God. We found this house and property essentially in our backyard. I kid you not. Growing up in a small farm town in Indiana I'm used to wide open spaces, dark skies at night, crickets chirping, and a lot of privacy. While we were on an acre property before, I knew it wasn't our forever home. I'm feeling immensely grateful to give my children a taste of my childhood with room to run and grow, while still being near my husband's family (and the wonderful opportunities in the Chicago suburbs). This home and property is near and dear to my heart. The previous owners have all been wonderful stuarts of this home and we plan to do the same. We plan on renovating over time, in keeping with its history and character, and hopefully one of my kids will want to take over in many decades. I'm still going to be posting thrifting videos as time permits, but I'll also be taking you along as we settle into this home and make it our own. After all, they don't make 'em like they used to.
