If you are an inland city slicker like me, you will understand that longing feeling of just lying on the beach. I am very particular when it comes to booking our holidays and it can take me hours of searching to find the right place. There is no point of traveling to a coastal town and staying a few roads back. The idea is to walk from my bedroom straight to the water’s edge in less than a minute. Who else can relate to this? Just north of Ballito, I think I have found the perfect spot for a midweek beach break away. The Sea – Cottage: Two self-catering cottages that offer accommodation only ten meters from the beach and rock pools. Each cottage accommodates five guests. Breathtaking views of the ocean. This is an absolute gem of the dolphin coast. I would advise booking the lower cottage, which is more private and has a front row seat to the waters edge. The Salt Rock swimming beach is a 5 min drive south and I advise hiring a car as uber is less likely to drive short distances.
