This is our Dry Run of September on the Mississippi, an original by Larry Conger. We recorded this video in front of the Mark Twain family cabin on the grounds of the Museum of Appalachia in Norris, TN. The wind was more than we expected and had more of an affect on the audio than we desired. After this video, we moved to a wind free location. Information about the Mark Twain Family Cabin Experts contend that renowned author and humorist Samuel Clemens—better known as “Mark Twain”—was likely conceived in this little log home, originally located in Possum Trot, Tennessee. Twain’s father, John Clemens, moved to East Tennessee in the early 1820s, where he served as the first postmaster of the Pall Mall Post Office. John and his wife, Jane, raised four of their children in this cabin. The family left for Missouri in 1835, and five months after their departure, their son Samuel was born. Moved to the Museum in 1995, the home has become one of our most popular attractions. Additional information is available here: https://www.appalachianhistory.net/20...
