Simon -- a Former Patient at Castle Craig

When Simon came into Castle Craig for alcohol rehab his life was unmanageable and his mental health was suffering with depression and anxiety. He says that people thought he was successful but he admits that he was really "hanging on." He was "clinging on" and felt like he was about to hit rock bottom. Rehab wasn't what he expected and, in this video, Simon explains that he saw it more of a learning experience -- learning the skills that will help him lead a life of abstinence. "There is a great feeling of camaraderie at Castle Craig, it is hard work, but you end up making very close friends and together you support each other and hopefully come out the other side realising the best was to deal with a drug or alcohol problem is abstinence."
