My first observation of 2026 took place on January 18th, when Jupiter was at its closest point to Earth, at 635 million kilometers. Normally, this position is ideal for clearly observing many details on Jupiter, such as the bands, the Great Red Spot, and the shadows of its moons. However, that night, atmospheric conditions were unfortunately not very cooperative. Due to intense turbulence in the atmosphere (poor seeing), the image frequently flickered and details lost their clarity. Nevertheless, observing Jupiter live and starting 2026 with this giant planet was a source of great excitement and motivation for me. This video both accurately reflects the actual observation conditions of that night and serves as a reminder of how crucial the atmosphere is in amateur astronomy. • 8" f/6 Dobsonian Telescope • Celestron Omni 2x Barlow Lens • Celestron Omni 9mm Eyepiece • iPhone 13 Subscribe to my channel for free ▸ / @astro-burak My Instagram account ▸ / astroburak #astrophotography #telescope #astrofotografia #telescopio #astronomy Review of the my Dobsonian Telescope ▸ • Bresser Messier 8" Dobsonian Telescope Rev...
