Part 5 of my adventure in the Preseli hills in Southwest Wales.Join me as I explore the lands where the Stonehenge Bluestones came from. The Bluestones are said to be a healing stone. They are so dense with metals they can ring like a bell. This also makes them incredibly heavy. To put even more mystery into Stonehenge, some people believe it is because of their ability to ring which is the reason why these stones were taken all the way from Wales to build Stonehenge. In this explore I leave Carn Goedog where a number of the stones at Stonehenge have been carbon tested and proven to come from. Stone has a unique fingerprint and the fingerprint of some of the Stonehenge Bluestones comes from Carn Goedog. Exploring these magical healing stones and wondering how on earth they managed to move them. I discover a ridge which runs from Carn Goedog along the hillside then drops down to the lower lands. Could this be the start of the route where the Bluestones were taken on their epic journey to Stonehenge? Could they have floated the stones on rafts or boats along an ancient type of canal? Could this canal have hooked up with streams and rivers to enable the stones to be transported on rafts or boats inland to eventually reach their destination at Stonehenge. This is the first time I have come up with this theory and the more I think about it the more plausible it seems. Watch as this secret unfolds in realtime as I explore. Remember you heard this theory first here. Mark Horsebox. :-)
