Snowy Days & Warm Bothy Nights At The Red House and Hutchinson Memorial Hut

What a trip this was! Myself and my mate Jack were in need of some snow and adventure just after Christmas and so a trip was planned that would take us deep into the heart of The Cairngorms. It didn't disappoint. A great night was had at The Red House Bothy on the first night before we completed one of the toughest hikes we've ever done the following day. Driving snow, fading light and knee deep snow made the ascent to Hutchinson Memorial Hut incredibly tough, but we were rewarded with one of the best settings for a bothy I think we've both seen. Some interesting folk were met along the way, incredible scenery was enjoyed and we had enough of a snow fix to last us until next year!
