How Triads Can Instantly Improve Your Guitar Solos

Here's a little lesson on how you can use your triad knowledge to start playing melodic, smooth solos. By knowing where the chord tones of every chord are, and targeting those chord tones, you can guarantee that you'll be able to always hit the sweet notes over every chord. You could also view this as knowing your arpeggios, it's basically the same thing. But triad shapes, being only 3 notes, are far more digestible, bite size chunks. Of course, there's a lot to be said about targeting notes that aren't in the chord being played. Introducing tension and playing with that tension. But to get to that point, you really need to know the 'right' notes first. I don't actually really give examples of soloing in every area, even though at the start of the video I mention that you need to know all those areas for the lesson. You definitely do need to know all 3 areas, but if I was to do demos of me playing in all 3 areas the video would've been 3 times as long!
