flowing a crank is quite easy, its no rocket science, its just about if u dare to do it ;) there are only 4-5 cuts needed with a flex grinder to your flowed vespa crankshaft. the fine finish is mostly for the eye ;o) u DONT polish anything on the intake side, the golf ball isnt polished eiter. just take care to protect 1) the stumps 2) the conrod bearing 3) the edges of the rotary valve cheek (clutch side) that close the rotary valve of the case (the cut on the right at 6:02 doesnt matter, THIS edge doesnt close the rv). YES of course u lower the balancing rate if u process the crank like that BUT as centering/pressfit/stumps are good it doesnt really matter, it will still run quite smooth. the other way round: the best balanced crank will vibrate as hell if the centering is not ok and/or the stumpes are ankled (thats the usual defect of all vespa cranks after some years) ((sadly some brandNEW cranks also do have ankled stumps and low pressfit.. but are sold for a lot of money anyways...)) and some time travel over the last years, flowed my first crank in 2004 #vespa #crankshaft #flowing -------------------------------------------------------------------------- FOLLOW me on insta: @FreakMoPed fb: / freakmoped --------------------------------------------------------------------
