Emergency response for the humanitarian crisis in Ukraine

With the support provided by the People of Japan, it was possible to assist thousands of refugees at over 50 beneficiary locations in reception, transit, and accommodation centers across Romania in recent months. The total donation was $473,900, and the project identified the actual needs of the refugees, and directly addressed these in a dignified manner, including through the provision of Non-Food Items (NFIs) to support and meet these needs. IOM Romania and its implementing partners delivered over 285,000 contextualized hygiene items to Ukrainians and Third Country Nationals (TCNs), as well as over 25,000 non-food items, including furniture, refrigerators, air conditioning units, and lighting at accommodation and transit centers across the country.
