“Tears such as Angels Weep” Lunetta 1 I built this absolutely massive Lunetta years ago while I was recovering from surgery. Since then, it has been sitting sad and alone, and I have played it only a handful of times. There are a few reasons for this, but those are for another day. Named after Stanley Lunetta, a Lunetta uses logic chips in a musical way. The full story on that is also for another day. This here first jam begins my search in earnest to find some sort of sounds with this Leviathan: some sounds that might bring me delight, and stir my curiosity, and leave me, at the least, satisfied in soul. While logic chips are easy to work with, fun, and do musical-type things, they don’t do all of the things you might look for from a synth. There lies the challenge. More on this in the future, too. My plan is through this machine, and a fixed set of other gear: mixers, compressor, active crossover; phaser, delay and fuzz pedal; to create a continuity of sound, an identity, and a unity across all these sessions. (If you notice reverb, that is built into the Lunetta.) Life needs to get moving, even if conditions are not ideal. So the music needs to rip, even if the gear is a little busted, crammed together, and inscrutable as midnight. Now is the time. I hope you enjoy.
