Cheryl Graham reads today’s story, “Golden Jubilee”, taken from the thirty-ninth “Railway Series” book, “Thomas and the Fat Controller’s Engines”, written by Christopher Awdry (son of his reverence Wilbert Awdry), and illustrated by Clive Spong. Henry is glum because he thinks that due to recent accidents, the Golden Jubilee will be a disaster. His mood is lifted however when Edward is repaired and chosen to clear the line for Pip and Emma. But even that might not prevent some potential problems with the Knapford signal box, just as Edward and the branch line engines are about to leave… Adapted from the famous “Railway Series” written from 1945 – 2011 by his reverence, Wilbert Awdry and his son, Christopher, “Sodor Railway Tales” tells the exciting stories of some anthropomorphic engines on the Island of Sodor. See all your old favourite engines from the North Western Railway and the Skarloey Railway! Meet many new engine friends from the North Western Railway, the Skarloey Railway and the Small Railway.
