Maureen is Chief Executive of Aurion Learning, an elearning company made up of a team of learning specialists and application developers. They are based in Belfast, but do most of our work in the south of Ireland and Scotland. They are a 'one-stop shop' in learning technology. Maureen spoke to TEDxBelfast in Titanic Belfast about The Curse of Knowledge -- companies who want to train the their staff by dumping lots of information on them, but not much learning. "Over 70pc of money spent on training is a complete waste of money." Maureen shares her experience and ideas. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
