This is day one of our Gdansk holiday. We arrived the night before from Torun. We made an early start to explore the old town. We had brunch at a milk bar which we truly enjoyed. The important landmarks were mostly walkiing distance. I would highly recommend a visit to St Bridget's church to mesmerise on its amber altar. Part our plan for the day was to take the boat cruise to Westerplatte. However after watching the videos and reading about the place, we felt that we would enjoy more if we go elsewhere. The place has an important palce in history but we decided to give it a pass. We went to Oliwa instead which was interesing. We visited the cathedral with its epic organ but nobody was playing it. Ithe train journey was very short anyway (13 minutes). I used the Koleo train app which is very handy.
