We Hiked This Mountain at 3AM (It Got Dangerous)

We woke up at 3AM to hike Bluff Knoll… and things didn’t go to plan. In this episode of our van life Australia journey, we arrive in Bremer Bay, catch and cook fresh fish, and then continue the adventure towards Albany. But the main mission was climbing Bluff Knoll, Western Australia’s highest peak. Starting the hike in pitch black darkness with only head torches, we pushed towards the summit for sunrise — but the conditions quickly changed. Heavy rain, thick fog and dangerous visibility made the climb far more challenging than expected… and when we finally reached the top, we were met with nothing but cloud. After the hike we continue exploring the Albany region, visiting the incredible Granite Skywalk and exploring the dramatic coastline of Torndirrup National Park.
