I was super grateful and felt like I got to exhibit my art irl so I really put effort in digging the right songs. This set is where post-rock, alternative rock, electronica, dnb, and darkwave assembled. It's a mix of your favorite songs and songs from 90s that out of algorithm reach, some aren't even on any platforms to listen to or buy. Therefore, I wanna emphasize how mysterious and 'new' this mix is through the uncanny story of you moving to the new city alone and just discovering this hidden bar deep the alley that plays a mix you can't describe how it made you feel so you wake up the next day wondering if you really heard that song last night or you were just drunk and this mix didn't really exist. It's not just a mix that's alternative, but it's the way this type of mix was live at a bar instead of in a room to post on the internet. It's a new experience as a whole you only have to be there to understand it. I'm aware that it's super risky for a DJ to do this whole entire angst genre + band music in public setting but I'm SOOO passionate in creating vibes more than anything else so I don't wanna play safe with house music and make sure to bring new experience to people instead. I was so scared that I had to tell my friends beforehand that this time gonna be different and they have to hype me up no matter what, I even have a house set prepared just in case I got chicken out but I'm glad I took a risk and choose to do what I want to do not what people want to hear.
