Finally a “how to” video with NO TALKING, featuring PUPPIES!!! Just sit back and watch it get done! Easy, fast, D.I.Y kitchen remodel on a budget. Want to make your lady (or man) happy? Then give them the kitchen they’ve has always wanted. When I painted the kitchen walls and cabinets, I didn’t have the filming capabilities that I do now so some parts are missing. Moving forward, here is the full video of me redoing the tile backsplash (stick on) and applying the Rust-Oleum counter top coating. The counter top color we selected is called “light ash”. This stuff is great. You can renew laminate countertops, cabinets and furniture with it. “New”counter tops for $30??!?!? Yea…sign my cheap ass up for that. Take the paint to the paint counter at your local Lowes/Home Depot and have them tint it to one of the 12 color options. No primer needed before applying. Just a light sanding, wash with Dawn dish soap, dry thoroughly and apply with a foam roll brush and a foam hand brush. Don’t use fiber rollers…the fibers will rip off the roller and stick into the paint. I also wouldn’t recommend a standard paint brush because the brush strokes will show. Allow 2-3 days to cure. Make sure your room is well ventilated!!! This stuff off-gases a very harsh odor for a few days. As far as the backsplash is concerned…I initially purchased 40 sheets of the backsplash and ended up buying 11 more. A total of 51 sheets and used 49 of them. Buy more than you need so you don’t have to go back to the store twice like I did. You can always return what you don’t use. I used a box cutter to score the tiles, then karate chopped them and they broke perfectly straight. I used shears to trim and fine tune the little pieces. Wear gloves, there was blood. —edit— A few people have complained about the sound of the music in this video hurting their ears. I apologize this was one of the first videos I ever made. I didn’t know better at the time. +Links to all products below. ******DISCLAIMER****** I am certainly no professional, nor have I been officially taught or trained to do any of these tasks. I just use common sense, drink a fuck-load of coffee and do a ton of research. I’m sure there are better (or worse) ways of doing it. Please subscribe, leave a good or bad comment, and a thumbs up or down. Let me know if you attempted it and how it turned out! Thanks for watching.
