This journey runs from the terminal track at Tower City Station in downtown Cleveland all the way to Hopkins International Airport. Filmed with the permission of the operating authority, as the first charter trip on this system in several decades, this video offers a view that passengers rarely get to see! 🚆 About the Red Line Cleveland’s Red Line is a 19-mile rapid transit route connecting downtown with the airport, running through neighborhoods, industrial areas, and open suburban stretches along the way. Opened in 1955, it was the first rail line in the United States to connect directly to an airport terminal—a distinction that still makes it stand out today. 🛤️ About This Trip This video covers the entire westbound run from Tower City to the Airport, filmed in real time from the front cab of an RTA train. You’ll see everything from the short underground section downtown to the Cuyahoga Viaduct and the open-air segments farther west!
