Reach out to DSI for expert support, custom post-processors, and customized training in Autodesk Fusion, CAMplete, and more https://dsi.fyi/conour Welcome back! In this video we go over broaching some 10mm hex holes in a part. For the sake of keeping it short and sweet, I did not go into crazy detail. I ended up using a broach that is not really made for a CNC application. I had to grind on it to get the proper back relief. Along with modifying a standard .5" endmill holder. If I was to do this again, I would probably try and find an indexable holder. So please take everything you saw in this setup with a grain of salt. Knowledge is power, and we are just sharing things that have worked for us. The thing I am most proud of here is the very slick way we single point cut these hex holes, posting straight out of Fusion! I personally have not seen holes get broached like this on the internet, so we thought we would share. Rising tides lift all ships! I hope this helps someone out there. Like I mentioned in the video, DSI created this custom post for me. If you have a challenging part or want to fine tune the code you are sending to your machine, hit up DSI.
