These little dough-wrapped snacks are very similar to Italian ravioli. There are many different fillings for pierogi, but potato and cheese is probably the most popular. Potato and cheese filled pierogies are known as Pierogi Ruskie, but they have nothing to do with Russia. Ruskie is a corruption of Ruthenia, a lost nation in what is now Ukraine, Slovakia and Poland. Also in this video I make some meat-filled pirogis. (I'm messing with the spelling of pirogies for SEO purposes - the correct usage is pierogi, which is plural - pierog is singular. I wouldn't say these pierogies are easy to make, but with a bit of practice you'll be a champion pierogi-maker.
