Location: One Island East, 18 Westlands Road, Quarry Bay This building is the tallest in the Quarry Bay area, and is also one of the tallest skyscrapers in Hong Kong. While nowhere as tall as others such as ICC or IFC, the whole building itself was very open without any turnstiles or lockouts in the lifts. Even more surprising was how easy it was to access and ride both of the service lifts here, I would've expected these to be fully locked out in a building like this. For service lifts in a high rise office building like this, these are way too slow. It takes nearly a minute and a half to travel the entire distance in these lifts. It may be understandable for the first lift given its high capacity, but the second lift has a capacity not that much higher than the passenger ones so it should've been made a lot faster. The funny part? The first lift actually travels faster than the second! Its also rather odd how the second lift doesn't go all the way up the tower. Nevertheless, these were still quite nice, and were the tallest lifts I filmed in Hong Kong.
