Much love for beloved Waimanalo. Jimmy Fruedenberg was a good friend to Lonomusic as we spent nights jamming up in Maui Meadows and Hana. I do have relatives from Waimanalo. The Mahoeʻs and the Kupahuʻs indeed. Jimbo, Chappo, Kekoa, Nami, Nahua, Kaleo, Solo, Daniel, Phillip, James, George Mahoe Sr. and Jr., Manual, Ulu, Tony Sang and Joe Gang. Many other I did not name. Jimmy is long gone so is Billy. So we are left to remember the good works they did. I present this song as and honor to the composers. Thought maybe I should do it as their band Country Comfort and our duo of Kevin Tewes and I called "Ka Home Brew" played at the Top Ada Shop on Keeumoku and Kapiolani (no quote) back in the days. Summer and The Waimanalo Sunshine Band played there also. It has been a while since these songs were played live, so as just one of the many whom still relish in a younger time of Hawaiiʻs music we will send this music out to everyone who remembers young Hawaii.
