One day while on the East end Molokai around the 20 mile marker I ran into Eddie Tanaka, a musician here. He shared a story of Nanahoa. He gave it the title Boto Nui. Again we ventured to the Kalaupapa look out in search of it. The books in the Molokai Library and the tales told to us by our Kupuna also supported the story of this historic place. Not hearing any songs of this sacred sight, we went into composing this. Our parents would often tell us kids to get lost when they were having their drinks and playing their songs. Again we only went as far as they could not see us and we hid close enough to hear their songs. We later got together and started singing our version of their songs, we laughed all night trying, and changing the words to make it more kalohe. When we got caught, erry body pointed the finger at me, since I had the ukulele. I took the punishment while laughing inside cause I knew I was going to do to again, no get caught this time. So, this is one of those songs. No translation needed here, only Imua forward, Ihope back it up. Ok letʻs go. I prolly going get punish for dis, again. pretty fun song though. hehehe. Check out The Daily Pidgin with Andy Bumatai and PhotoLuke Hawaii both on Twitch and You Tube as they do play our music on 2 great platforms. Also check out Lonomusic.com for our music and vids. Thank. you for your time. Sorry ʻbout the tweety birds.
